Manufacturing Assembler

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada

Poised for rapid growth, Jackpot Digital Inc. is a leading electronic table games (“ETG”) manufacturer for the cruise ship and regulated casino industry. The Company specializes in multiplayer gaming products, including poker and casino games, which are complemented by a robust suite of back-end tools for operators to efficiently control and optimize their gaming business.

We are seeking a full-time experienced Manufacturing Assembler to lead the final assembly and installation of our electronic table games. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Manufacturing, the position’s responsibilities will include the final assembly of metallic and electronic ETG components, as well as general warehouse support.

The ideal candidate should be a motivated, self-directed individual with the ability to work well in a team environment. We work in a fast-paced setting, so the applicant should be a hard worker who enjoys evolving and changing responsibilities and physical work. International travel will be required to deploy our ETG products at customer sites on cruise ships and casinos.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Production Assembler is responsible for:
  • Final assembly of ETG products, including light metal work
  • Occasional fabrication of simple metal parts, including cutting and drilling of steel and/or aluminum
  • Cleaning and maintaining an organized work area
  • Operating warehouse and power tool equipment (forklift license an asset)
  • Helping with loading and unloading trucks, order picking, shipping and receiving
  • Verifying the quality of your own work
  • Encouraging an organized environment and support inventory counts as required
  • Abiding by and enforcing company safety protocols
  • Following directions while being proactive and prioritizing your work
  • Supporting the refurbishment of legacy ETG units

Requirements and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must possess the following:
  • Authorized to work in Canada through permanent residency or Canadian citizenship
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing assembly environment
  • Valid passport, driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites.
  • Able to effectively communicate in written and spoken English
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods of time
  • Successful completion of a police background check, since this position will have access to sensitive areas of casino properties

Key Skills and Knowledge

Experience in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, including but not limited to:
  • Production and Processing - Knowledge of metallic raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods
  • Comfortable working with hand and power tools
  • Able to make independent decisions to meet work instructions and quality requirements
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, MS Word)
  • Ability to quickly learn new software (e.g. order entry and inventory transactions)

Nice to Have

  • Forklift license
  • Familiarity with and enjoyment of poker and casino games

Software Engineer / QA Automation Engineer

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with a passion for software automated testing who is committed to driving quality into each release. As a member of our development team, you will be responsible for building test automation frameworks and tools across our growing gaming platform.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an automated test infrastructure
  • Write efficient and reusable automation code
  • Design and develop structured test plans and test cases using best practices in an Agile environment
  • Participate in our agile process by being an active contributor in daily standups, sprint kick-offs, demonstrations, and retrospectives

Requirements

  • 3+ Years of QA Automation Experience
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science or equivalent
  • Ability to write tests in both Java and Javascript
  • Experience using automated testing tools for integration, unit, performance and client testing
  • Experience building testing frameworks
  • Experience with service based testing of RESTful APIs
  • Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery and best practices for QA automation

Nice to have

  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Experience working with Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience using AngularJS, Bootstrap, Play Framework
  • Familiarity with and enjoyment of poker and casino games
